Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village was established in the year 2009 with two Institutes -  Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Technology (SVBIT) and Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Pharmacy (SVBIP).

SVBIT was established with the approval of AICTE and affiliated to Gujarat technological University (GTU), offering six courses in Bachelor of Engineering, with a total annual intake of 540. The college is situated at Gandhinagar – Mansa road, about 7 km from Gandhinagar, in a sprawling 40 acre lush green campus. The SVBIT is adorned with vast collection of books and journals. BGKV proudly launches second edition of “SPANDAN” a wall magazine, a unique identity of BGKV constituent colleges, which gives platform to technical students to discover the talent hide in them.

SVBIT, with a view to provide opportunity to the aspirants, especially in Gujarat for their training in technical education and to provide consultancy and testing facilities to the industries / organizations located in this area and to join hands with Govt. of India in generation of technical manpower. For the accomplishment of this noble task, the college has been making consistent efforts with the help of innovative and committed faculty, technical and non-technical staff members and the students for the growth and progress. The college provides an environment which is not only pollution free but is also immensely suited for the holistic growth and the development of the students.

Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Pharmacy (SVBIP) was established in 2009 as self financed college approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and AICTE, New Delhi. The College building has 14 Laboratories including sophisticated instrument room and industrial laboratory, Four Classrooms, Tutorial Rooms, Auditorium, Seminar Hall, Library, Animal House, General Store & Administrative area, designed to suit as per the requirements of AICTE and PCI for pharmacy education.
